Ciao lettori! I meant to write this entry about a week ago but got really tangled in planning trips and trying to locate the textbooks for classes. So here is my semi-official 2 month post. And what a glorious 2 months it has been. I honestly could not be happier. I don’t mean to get all sentimental, but choosing to study in Bologna is definitely one of the best choices I’ve made in my life. Everyday brings some new adventure or friendship and I’m grateful for all of it. Plus, the group of students on this program are some of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve met. I love that we all bring something different to the table and no matter what we’re doing (even if it’s making a 9 am train), we have fun. The people you meet abroad are just as important as the city you pick and what you do with your time.
I still can’t believe two months have gone by. And that I’ve got about 3 months left (eeeeek). But I did get accepted to work in Italy over the summer (thank goodness) so at least I’ll have some more time to enjoy working and living abroad. Here are some more updates in my study abroad experience:
-Going to Rome with weekend! Heading out with some of the girls from the program to visit my stomping grounds from this summer. I really can’t wait, I had a blast this summer and I’m sure this weekend will prove to be tiring but only because we’ll be busy enjoying ourselves.
-The week before Easter I’m heading to the south of Italy with a housemate who lives in the region of Puglia. We’re gonna hit the beach, eat a lot and just enjoy a different landscape. After about 5 days there, I will return up north to head towards Genova to spend Easter with my dad’s cousins.
Well, that’s about all I have for now. Time for me to get my butt in gear and hit the Giardini Margherita for a jog. I wouldn’t trade this beautiful weather for anything.
